They tried something similar a few years a go and displeased fans caused an outcry which changed their decision.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am sure you have already been bombarded with comments about the recent move of the popular series The Simpsons from 11 to 7:30. I can almost not remember a time that The Simpsons did not occupy the 11:00 time slot. The hilarious, topical comedy has been like a friend helping me forget the cares of the world as I drift into sleep.
I recall a few years ago, you tried to move The Simpsons from 11 and replaced it, if i remember correctly, Seinfeld. I recall an outcry and my beloved show returned to the time slot within a few weeks.
So let's try it again.
I am sure the outcry this time as been somewhat blunted by the fact that you have replaced it with an hour of Family Guy, but I am sure I am not alone. While unexplainably popular, Family Guy is a cut rate copy of The Simpsons. Sure its more crude, lewd and stupid when compared to The SImpsons, but some of us prefer the original.
Please consider returning The Simpsons to its rightful place at 11:00 PM.

I have enjoyed channel 19 since I was but a youth growing up in Cincinnati and hope to continue watching my favorite show on it.

"Thank you for your message. We are sorry you do not like the program change moving The Simpsons to 7:30PM. The Simpsons has been a mainstay of FOX19 programming for many years. The show has been moved to 7:30PM not only to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, but to allow a different audience the opportunity to view the show. The move also allows FOX19 to "Freshen Up" the programming in the 11PM to 1AM line up.
